Grand Central Terminal, Statue of Mercury
New York, New York
As part of the exterior restoration, BCA surveyed the terminal's sculptural group. Sculpted by Jules Alexis Coulan of Paris (1914), Mercury is flanked by Hercules and Minerva. William K. Vanderbilt played a role in selecting Mercury as the personage to crown the building's south façade.
