The Russia Wharf Redevelopment Project, now known as Atlantic Wharf, included the preservation of three historic buildings and the construction of a modern office tower. BCA provided the technical preservation consulting for the restoration of the historic buildings, including the restoration of the exterior masonry, cast iron storefronts, large shop windows, and the elaborate copper cornices. The project required extensive review by the Massachusetts Historical Commission, and the restoration of the Russia Building received Federal tax credits.
The project received a Boston Preservation Alliance award in 2011 for Integration of Preservation and New Construction.
