Historic Tax Credit

The Historic Tax Credit is a voluntary federal program that may entitle a building owner or long-term lessee to a tax credit worth 20% of qualifying construction costs. The requirements for this program are stringent, but BCA's careful design review and documentation procedures have realized millions of dollars in savings for its clients. In fact, BCA administered one of the largest credits ever granted under the program.

The Historic Tax Credit is administered by the State Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service, and is awarded by the Internal Revenue Service.
